The Rim:

The HED Belgium R 28/28 is a versatile rim with a deep cycling heritage. At 25mm wide, the Belgium Plus will provide a wider tire profile and a rounder contact patch that reduces rolling resistance and creates a more supple ride. They come tubeless-ready to make the ride even smoother. HED goes above and beyond, shot-peening every rim and welding the seam to make them one of the strongest rims available. 

The Hub:

The R45 is the culmination of over 30 years of bearing experience and more than 20 years of hub building experience. Our R45 rear hub combines a redesigned RingDrive™ system with 45 teeth for lower drag and near instant engagement, a lightweight hub body, and our legendary made-in-house bearings. 

Chris King bearings, both steel and ceramic, have heat-treated, surgical-grade steel races that are machined simultaneously to ensure perfect matching. The quality and speed of our bearings is what you will feel (and hear) on every ride. As Chris King bearing tracks burnish, they actually get faster (we have data), which means the more you ride, the faster they get. A little bit of regular love (i.e., service) will keep these hubs rolling for years upon years of demanding use.
