Chef's Assistant

Assist the executive chef in the day-to-day preparation/service of food and excellent customer service to our employees, guests and external customers.   Participate in tasks establishing the Café as a contributor to the overall success of the company.


General Café Duties:

  • Start of day-cash drawer and delivery of cash/receipts to Accounting
  • Make morning food items based on established rotating recipes
  • Responsible for daily prep station, which may include: cooking chicken breasts, roast beef, eggs, croutons, bacon bits, slicing and dicing bell peppers, cucumbers & tomatoes, salad dressings
  • Prepares and serves any and all pre-ordered sandwiches and salads
  • Assists Chef in plating and serving of meals
  • Operates cash register during lunch rush
  • Dishwashing at several established points throughout the day
  • Prepares afternoon snacks as determined by the chef
  • Cleans the wood bakery table, prep sink area and slicer
  • Cleans all wood table and counter tops
  • Clean chef station, which includes the stove top, griddle, char-broiler, steam table and work table
  • Restocking of coffee and tea supplies
  • Be willing and able to step in to act as chef when needed


  • 2 years of food preparation experience
  • 1 years of banquet, catering or similar food preparation experience


  • Current Oregon Food Handlers card
  • Sensitive palate
  • Creativity
  • Knowledge of food allergies and substitutions


  • Requires physical effort such as stooping and bending and lifting of objects (up to 50 lbs).
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Use a computer frequently.

CNC Mill Operator

Chris King Precision Components, manufacturer of bicycle components, is seeking qualified applicants for our Machine Shop.  The position is responsible for the set-up and operation of CNC mills in a high volume production environment. CNC mill operators use a variety of measuring equipment and make parts to print.  This position entails using measuring equipment to hold tight tolerances of .001” or less.  Other responsibilities include deburring parts as necessary and completing daily paperwork.


  • 2 years of CNC mill operating experience
  • 1 year CNC mill set-up with troubleshooting experience
  • Experience with Fanuc controls
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read blue prints and knowledge of shop math
  • Ability to read and use precision measuring tools
  • Basic computer skills
  • Willingness to learn and be trained
  • Positive attitude and ability to cooperate with a variety of coworkers
